The direct contact of the bridge feet on the mouthpiece acts as resonance plates, which further integrates your setup for maximum and efficient sound production.

Note:

If SOUND is your primary concern, then we recommend NOT to use the rocking bridge’s black rubber shoes included with the ligature.

The sole purpose of the rubber shoes is to prevent potential minor scratches on your mouthpiece’s finish. While these pads provide protection to the mouthpiece, they also absorb sound energy which can noticeably reduce the ligature’s performance and affect timbral quality and response.
