Michael Moore, Manager
A graduate of Capital University and student of Nicholas Perrini, Michael is the resident horn geek. Starting out as an apprentice brass tech in 2014 he has held many roles at the shop but has found his niche helping musicians find the instrument that best fits them.
In his spare time, he enjoys travelling with his wife, Rachael, always looking for weird and interesting instruments along the way.
Jason Ferrell, Educational Sales
Jason is originally from New Albany, Ohio and attended both The Ohio State University where he was member of the marching band and later Capital University where he graduated with a degree in Music Education. He is an instructor at GnG Music Instruction. He is in demand as a freelance player and can be seen in many bands from an Elvis Revue to the pop band The Bug Hounds.
Matt Adams, Woodwind Repair
Matt Adams has been a staple on the Central Ohio music scene since earning his music degree from Capital University in the early 1990s. He has played with and led many groups over this time. His extreme pickiness of the performance of his own instruments and his love of “tinkering with stuff” led him to the field of instrument repair.
Specializing in saxophone diagnosis, set-ups and overhauls, Matt has been a member of the Buckeye Brass and Winds team since 2011.
His goal with every instrument that crosses his bench is to make it play effortlessly so that the artist within each player is able to emerge. “I don’t want the player thinking about the horn. I want the player thinking about the music. I want to facilitate the music playing the musician, NOT the other way around. This, in my opinion, is only achievable if the instrument is in perfect working order."
Matt is the proud dad of two young boys and lives on the south side of Columbus. In his free time he rides bicycles on the road and in the dirt.
Korey Saunders, Brass Repair
A trumpet player and graduate of The Ohio State Univeristy, Korey spends his time in the basement working on many varieties of brass instruments.
When not fixing horns he is an avid Civil War reenactor. He plays Eb cornet with the 73rd Ohio Volunteer Infantry Regiment Band and also does mounted bugling as a member of the 6th Ohio Cavalry and 6th Ohio Mounted Buglers.
Jessi Rose, Woodwind Repair
Jessi Rose is a expert woodwind repair technician and has been with Buckeye Brass and Winds since 2017. Prior to living in Columbus she spent 13 years as a flute and clarinet repair specialist at Washington Music Center in Wheaton, Maryland. A former US Marine bandsman, Jessi is an accomplished flautist and still actively performs with the Heisey Wind Ensemble and anywhere else she has the opportunity to play.
In addition to repair Jessi is also the mother of five boys ages 7-16, as well as a supportive wife to her husband Onsby. In her free time she enjoys sewing and quilting, playing with her puppy Molly and spending time outdoors.

Cali is the resident shop dog! She is incredibly friendly and loves belly rubs!
