Kaleigh McGee
Kaleigh
McGee currently serves as the clarinet studio Graduate Teaching
Assistant at The Ohio State University while she pursues her Doctorate
of Musical Arts. In this position, she regularly teaches many of the
undergraduate clarinet students and has taught several clarinet
masterclasses as well. In her private studio, Kaleigh
focuses on creating a solid basis for technique and quality tone
production through exercises with embouchure, articulation, breath
support, hand position, and many other aspects of clarinet playing.
Kaleigh also believes in the importance that knowledge of
music theory holds in the early years of musical growth. She makes sure
to include this facet of musicianship in all of her lessons to ensure
she provides the best musical foundation for her students.
